“Peace, I Give to You”
GThe practice of retreat is an invitation to intentionally withdraw and engage more deeply with oneself, God, and others. It is an invitation to quiet distraction, noise, notifications, and all the voices clamoring for our attention. On retreat, one slows down to allow the mind, heart, body, and soul to quiet and to listen. To listen for and to the Holy Spirit’s welcome into deeper communion with God.
Retreats often include images of getting away to a beautiful place with perfect weather. However, we understand that this type of retreat is not possible for many. This is one of the many reasons our Center offers an Online Retreat of Silence.
This September, our Online Retreat of Silence includes Scripture and practices around the theme of Peace. We will:
- Listen to our Promised Peace through the Communal Reading of Scripture,
- Consider our Given Peace through Lectio Divina,
- Receive Inner Peace through Confession and Assurance,
- Pray for Others through Intercessory Prayer.
Via Zoom and from wherever you are, we invite you to join us, others, and God as you are held in prayer and hopeful expectation that God will meet us on retreat.
We hope you will join us on September 20th from:
10am-1 pm CT / 8 am-11 am PT
