From Embitterment to the Path of Life

“I found myself on a path to embitterment and decided I would join the Certificate in Spiritual Formation cohort as a way to get off the path to where I didn’t want to go.”
Lynn K., Non-Profit Executive Director, Oregon

Lynn is one of the many faithful Christian leaders who has joined a cohort with the Center for Spiritual Formation. A leader doing good work and well aware of the state of her soul, she decided to join a place that would nurture her mind, heart, body, and soul and guide her back on a good path.

The Certificate in Spiritual Formation is a place to learn and grow deeper. It is for your formation and the formation of those you are called to serve. It is a place to grow in knowledge from experts, practitioners, and fellow Christians seeking to be faithful in their cities, families, and worldwide.

During the nine-month learning experience, the learners spend time both learning on their own and with one another in small groups. In learning with others, each participant is not only open to content and practices in Spiritual Formation but also to a variety of voices.

One of those voices is Dr. Dave Wang. As a pastor, professor, and psychologist, Dr. Wang is well researched and practiced in spiritual formation and emotional health. We’d love for you to hear a little bit from him:

Primary and Secondary Trauma in the Life of the Leader-.mp4

This short clip is one of many conversations with various voices who love God, are theologically grounded, and invite us to grow deeper in our formation and love of God and neighbor.
